[C:P ART]: concepts

As a big fan and collector of Funko's Pop Vinyl figures, I decided it was time myself and fellow Podcast vs Player presenter Dan got in on the action, so here's my version, non-copyrighted intended art pieces called 'PvPops!". Some good, some ok, some whaaaaah?

Yet another movie poster concept, this time for Big Hero 6, inspired by the amazing Ryan Lang mixed with a similar design to both the Knights of the Old Republic art, as well as the theme of my previous movie posters. With the poster, I've tried to capture the evil, ferocious nature of the villain Yokai (Professor Robert Callaghan).

A long overdue update! So I've been pretty busy, writing some stuff for WP Comics, writing, drawing and creating my own solo comic Held Up By Heros™ (which you can read the beginning of here) and working on new content over on Podcast vs Player as well as planning and celebrating my son's 2nd birthday!

So, on with the update, I've been trying out a few new styles, one of which may end up being the new logo, or at least inspire a new one, which, you can see below, then a concept poster using it as a logo.

The last piece is something that may or may not start a new 'series' of work, based on certain song lyrics. I got the idea for the piece whilst my girlfriend, son and I were driving to Ikea of all places, and we had a playlist in the car, with one of the songs being Pvris: Fire. It's actually a pretty cool song, but the lyrics "you can't cheat death when you're digging your own grave" I really liked, and gave me the idea for the last piece on this post. which, I may use as a springboard to do more lyric stuff.

Those of you who follow my posts, be it on here or over on Podcast vs Player or on PenUP, you'll know that I'm currently working with WP Comics on a new comic (that will be out soon!), but I'm also working on a solo comic, Held Up By Heroes, and I thought I'd share some progress work with you!

Whilst I'm still working with WP Comics to bring my up an coming comic to your hands and eyeballs, I've began working on a solo project that I hope to get released by the end of the year. I've been thinking/planning this for a while, but only really started working on it today.

So, here is a little concept piece for my new comic 'Held Up by Heroes'

I don't think there's many projects I start that Adventure Time doesn't sneak it's way in!

Another new Card Print, this time the caped crusader himself! These (and many more) will be available to buy once the store is up :)

In the same style as the Spider-Man Card Print I did the other day, this is the second in my card print series; The Invincible Iron-Man!

Another concept for the store, Card Prints, or Sketchcards. This is the first design, Spider-Man swinging into action! The style is very similar to the aesthetics of a propaganda poster, or a vintage movie screening. I don't know, I'm not cultured!

I've been bouncing around ideas for things to sell on my store other than canvas'. I've settled on one addition being limited edition Variant Covers, like these mock-ups below. Obviously. they will only be the covers, so a single sheet, but they'll all be one off's. I'll probably do around 5 different covers of each theme (Adventure Time, Regular Show, Marvel, DC etc), so they'll be a random selection until they're all gone.

A few digital promo concepts. Nothing else to be said!

Oh, I'm having a sandwich and my puppies just gone to have his balls off. So there's that to be said I guess.
