Boba Fett Deco Grunge Poster

Captain America - Deco Grunge Poster

Guardians of The Galaxy - Minimalist-Deco Poster

Big Hero 6: Baymax Battle Chip Mode

Big Hero 6 is a brilliant film, but one scene in particular is my favourite, where Baymax has his "Healthcare Chip" replaced for the less friendly "Battle Chip", and in a split second, he goes from this giant, lovable, caring robot, to this giant, dangerous, angry Hulk-like robot. It's a really ominous scene, and I just love it. So I tried to capture the "scary Baymax" in my own way.

Regular Show: Muscle Man

I said I was going to do a Regular Show, which I did here, but my fiancée requested a Muscle Man piece, so, here he is! I hope that's not what she compares me to...

Regular Show Grunge Pastels

Regular Show is the best. It's like a cartoon version of the Mighty Boosh, which is also awesome. So anyway, here is my grunge pastels poster of Mordecai, Rigby and Benson. GET BACK TO WORK!

The Amazing World of Gumball: Grunge Expo Poster

The Amazing World of Gumball is a massively underrated show. Personally, I find it to be totally on par with Adventure Time -- sometimes even better -- but I don't think it's as out there as it should be with regards to viewers over the age of say, 9? It's definitely not a show just for kids, alot of secret innuendos that children wont get, with the type of random humour you'd find in a Family Guy episode.

Anyway, I love it, and here's a little piece I had a lot of fun (and frustration) doing, but pretty pleased with the results.

Adventure Time Faux-Screen-Grunge

Spent a good few hours on this, the original idea was a kind of Propaganda poster, then a Faux-Screen-Print type thing, so settled on using the same colour pallets full all the characters, but adding in a more grunge style effect to (hopefully) make it more original.

Sonic Boom Grunge Piece

Finally finished the Sonic Boom piece I started the other day, and I'm actually quite happy with it! I was originally going to have a Robotnik/Eggman head silhouette in the back ground, but decided not to. The colours on Sonic aren't bright enough (which was intentional) to keep him the focus, so wouldn't have worked. Oh well!

Here it is, along with the concept sketch below, and, if you'd like, I also did a Knuckles piece, which you can see by clicking here.

Sonic Boom: Knuckles Grunge Piece

Knuckles is my favourite Sonic character, he's like the Wolverine of the Sonic world.

If Wolverine was a red Echinda with dreadlocks.

**Fun fact: Knuckles was originally intended to be a minor support character, but his popularity meant he's stuck around as an integral Sonic Team member since his Sonic the Hedgehog 3 debut in 1994.

**Fun fact #2: He was originally planned to have a Jamaican accent. Learning is fun!

The Punisher VS Batman

The idea I had was not to dissimilar from my 'Batman VS Red Hood VS Joker' piece I did a while back, but I don't think this worked as well. Frank doesn't look intimidating enough, almost Clark Kent 'boyscout' in his appearence, and I've added abit too much glare from his gun. Still, the Punisher Skull / Bat Symbol kinda worked.

Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne

Two concepts that developed into full pieces, that will be used as part of a three piece canvas (the third being Daryl) when my store opens, so keep tuned!

Wolverine Grunge Piece

Another grunge piece for Pen Up, and one of the more popular ones I've done. A lot of positive feedback from so many talented folks. A few comments, 92 favourites, all means a lot!

Awesome People!

Adventure Time Grunge Piece

What time is it? GRUNGE PIECE TIME! Yes, this is -- I believe -- grunge piece number 6! I'm quite liking the grunge style, if it even is that? Whatever it is, I'm enjoying it. It's an incredibly long process, and a tad mind numbing, but when it woks, I'm surprisingly happy with the results.

Batman & The Arkham Knight

Batman Arkham Knight is out SOON! So, I did this little piece for Pen Up. Not all that pleased with The Arkham Knight himself, I think I could have fleshed him out a little more, but, again, another grunge art piece, which is somewhat of a trend I seem to be having at the moment!

TMNT (Raphael & Leo) Grunge Pieces

I intended this to be a full TMNT team piece, but it was quite time consuming, so I did Raph (he's my favourite) first, then began Leo. However, I kind of moved on with other stuff and forgot all about him (and Mikey and Don...and Splinter...) so I just wrapped him up as he is now. I'll probably come back to these, as I'm pretty happy with Raph, so we'll see!

Shop Listings

Inspired by the CW show, Arrow, this is a grunge art piece based on the live action Green Arrow. I aimed for a mixture between two of my favourite comic artists, Jock and Andrea Sorrentinobut still maintaining the fact this is the TV's arrow, not the Justice League member.

Batman VS Red Hood VS Joker

This is a piece I did last year, and was really well received over on Pen Up, so big thank you to everyone who commented, shared, re-posted, favourited etc, it means a lot!

On a sidenote, Pen Up is a fantastic community, where you can submit your own art, rate others and generally explore and discover a thriving world of budding artists, so check it out!
